Bartolomeu Dias Museum Complex – Found in Mossel Bay this complex houses a wealth of places of historical interest. The most famous is possibly the Old Post Office Tree. This massive Millwood tree which is over 500 years old is where the 16th century sailors left messages for each other in a shoe hanging from the tree.

Dolphin's Point Lookout - This lookout offers magnificent views of the ocean for miles and was named after the number of dolphins which can be spotted from here on a regular basis. Whales are also spotted during the winter months (their breeding season). The Kaaimans River Bridge below is known as an excellent spot for taking photographs of the scenery and the Outeniqua Tjoe Choo as it passes over the ocean on its journey between George and Knysna.

Featherbed Nature Reserve - Featherbed Nature Reserve, a unique 150 ha private Nature Reserve, encompasses the whole of the Western Head of Knysna and is one of South Africa's Natural Heritage Sites.
