For Turkey, the visa is obtained at the airport for $15 (more like a sticker) for up to 30 days. Do not be duped into believing that you must get the visa prior to departure especially by "visa processing" companies! Istanbul is really amazing as well! |

I will also recommend Panama, It is situated between North and South America in Central America, The country works on the US $ and shopping is very cheap. It is a short 60 Km drive from Panama City to Colon on The Carribean side of Panama and cheap destinations and no VISA requirements for SA Citizens and no border fees, makes this a good option, KLM flies to Panama via Amsterdam and IBeria through Madrid. You can also fly to Miami and then a short 2 and half hour flight to Panama City or Via Sao Paulo Brazil where no Visa are required as well. Panama are very tourist friendly and free Medical insurance are offered by the goverment for all tourist for 30 days. |
