It's nothing you eat but it sounds delicious enough to be eaten. Expect a strawberry paraffin wax pedicure, followed by a strawberry paraffin wax manicure and finally sink deeper into relaxation as you get a grapefruit body scrub. This costs about R460.

• Anti-stress relaxing therapy at Iasis Health spa

Sometimes the body just needs rejuvenation, a little pick me up after it's been worked hard and this is the right treatment. It's a full body exfoliation, full body wrap followed by facial. It will set you back about R400.

It sound like a series of Herculean tasks to prove strength but it's much simpler than that. It's a men's facial that focuses on softening the skin through exfoliation to prevent those nasty ingrown hairs. This will cost you about R350.

• The Ginkgo de-stress-express at the Ginkgo Spa

Get this after a really hard day. It beats a lie in and a glass of wine. It’s a hair and scalp massage, followed by an aromatic hot spa bath treatment, and then finished off with a back and neck massage. And all you'll have to part with is about R490.

Durban

• Golfers' retreat at Selborne Golf Estate

Designed for golfers after a taxing game on the fields, get it even if you don't know how to tee off, we say. It's a back massage, then an Indian head massage that might just find you sleep at the end of the session and a leg massage treatment. This costs about R395.

 • Men's package at Kimaya Spa

Your mind automatically goes into the gutter here (or have we just led you?) but it's much more innocent. The treatment itself is a simple back massage, a men's facial and a foot massage to end it all. It all comes up to about R420.
