A hole in one!

So you've jetted off to the island of Mauritius, expecting nothing but luxury at Le Touessrok One & Only Hotel. And you should.

This hotel has serious style. You get to have your own private butler, celebs love hanging out here, namely Sin City’s Rosario Dawson - and enjoying the Sega vibe (traditional Mauritian music) at the island’s hot spots all spell easy-summer living.

But the most significant benefit is Le Touessrok’s golf course – that’s if you’re a major enthusiast. If not, the fact that it’s the only one in the world set on its own island might put you in the mood to try a game or two, just for the uniqueness of it all.  The main five-star resort is on the east coast of Mauritius and a short water-taxi ride takes you to what should be bogie-free, golfing bliss.

Designed by Bernard Langer, a legendary golfer, the course is intended to challenge advanced players while still remaining easily playable for us less inexperienced folk. But don’t be fooled by this 18-hole, 72-par course set in tropical surroundings – it can be challenging. Some of the holes snake up and down the length of the island and certain holes even require a tee-shot across sea inlets to the fairways.

All said and done, you do have a personal butler, copious cocktails available and access to some of the Indian Ocean’s best beaches. Enjoy!
