Attention all you golf fanatics out there! Ratanga Junction has expanded its ranger of activities to include a round of golf for the adults and some fun mini golf for the kids. Gotravel24 finds out more.
Fondly dubbed "the wildest place in Africa", Ratanga Junction is situated in Century City, Cape Town. With extreme rides and attractions such live shows and entertainment, this is the place to be this summer.
And to add to all their already exhilarating features, a golf course has been thrown into the mix.
The Ratanga Golf Centre opened in September 2008 and provides a public golf practice facility on the former Golf Fanatics site at Century City. It is open from Tuesdays to Sundays. (They do need a break guys!)
When you go there you can expect a state of the art golf practicing facility as well as pre-booked golfing tutoring. Speaking of tutoring, the Ratanga golf centre has started a junior coaching clinic for aspiring golfers aged 6-16 years old.
The Coaching sessions will include:
• The golf grip
• The basics of a golf swing
• The basics of putting
• The basics of the short game
It's official. Inexperience is no excuse!
The coaching will be given by WPGA Pros Cherry Moulder and Lisa Mackenzie. It costs R390 from 9-10 am every Sunday Morning from 23 November- 14 December.
According to the golf park manager, Herman Coetzee, "Space is limited so be sure to book now to avoid disappointment."

Something extra...
Just had a great golfing session? No need to rush home and want to avoid the traffic? If you've answered yes to any of these questions we have some great news for you.
Golfers as well as non golfers can relax in an adjacent fun, relaxed pub, named Legends, and catch their favourite game on the large screen TV.
And there's more...
A new open-air venue, The Greens, will be available for informal corporate, team building and braai functions. The new facilities are being run by the experienced management team of Cape Theme Parks which owns Ratanga Junction. These people specialize in creating enjoyable, well serviced entertainment venues so be sure to get on down there for some hard earned, relaxed fun. What more could you ask for?
It's not all adult-oriented though.
For all the tinier budding golfers, in the theme park, you will find Murphy's mini golf. A nine-hole indoor course for kids of all ages will allow you to boast a Tiger Woods in the making.
It's affordable too! For only R10 per round, the kids can do it plenty of times.
