It's not hard to find things to do in this tropical escape but we've narrowed the list down to ten...
1. Wild adventure park in Chamarel
The park lies in the same estate as the seven coloured earth. It’s a great place for outdoor activities for your family. Have fun in the heart of this 12-hectare tropical forest
2. Seven coloured earth
As part of your tour, regroup your senses with the tour of the Seven Coloured earth and the Chamarel waterfall.
If you didn’t already know, the seven coloured earth is formed due to uneven cooling of the Earth's crust, the seven different coloured strata. It’s a must- see phenomenon!

3. It’s beautiful and enlightening!
In Mauritius, your kids will be keen on learning about the island's sugar industry at the Sugar Museum. There’s also the development and creation of tea on the tea route. Or even the perfume distillation process that is detailed at Domaine du Ylang Ylang. Some resorts even offer your children junior language and cooking classes! Who said your break was just an ordinary holiday?!
4. A unique sight…
Spot black dolphins and long beaked dolphins! They’ve chosen Tamarin Bay, the water sports capital on the west of the island, as their home.
5. Under the sea!
Try the Undersea Helmet Walk in Grand Bay as an outdoor and water activity.
It takes place inside the reef on the sandy bottom of a lagoon in an average 3m depth of water. You are equipped with a unique solar powered helmet supplying solar electricity to no less than 6 compressors which in turn provide extremely pure air to the helmets. It sounds intricate yet so much fun!

6. Be an underwater pilot!
Pilot your very own underwater sub-scooter. They’re fun and safe and accompanied by guided divers. So you don’t have to be a professional to control them!

10. Just for your offspring
Outdoor activities are a winner for your kids and are really popular. Get them messing in the kitchen with cookery lessons from hotel chefs. They’ll really taste a bit of Mauritian culture.
Send them on a wild goose chase with treasure hunts and crab races which use the beach and beautiful garden settings.
A trip on glass-bottom boats introduces your kids to the colourful underwater world of the Indian Ocean. The sporty boys and girls will have a blast with private golf lessons, waterskiing and safe scuba diving tuition.
