Less than an hours drive up the West Coast is the West Coast National park. A wonderful day out from Cape Town. You wont see the big five but you will see Ostriches, Tortises, Buck and plenty of birds. The Geelbeck restaurant surrounded by various bird hides is a wonderul gastronomic experience, excellent food and dont be surprised to have a swallow swooping past whilst your eating. There are birds everywhere and the weaver birds in the trees just outside the restaurant are really interesting to watch!!
