Durban fun
Take the kids to Durban this school holidays. From as little as R1 249, its a definite steal...

The Cathedral Peak Hotel has got to be one of most well run operations i have ever been to. The staff are friendly, helpful and every activity or request is processed professionally and always with a smile.
The location of course is out of this world, surrounded by the spectacular Drakensberg mountain range with a million different hikes to go on, from ambles for the more sedentary to hard core difficult ones for the more adventurous. Horse riding is another great way to experience these wonderful surroundings - rides are set at beginner and intermediate levels so they are well paced to suit all needs.
If you want to take life a little more leisurely the terrace has a spectacular view and its very easy to wile away a few hours here sipping tea and eating whatever decadent treat emerges from the kitchen. There is a koi pond, hot and cold swimming pools and even a chapel. Bird life is prolific and the accommodation brilliant!!! I must say i was sad to leave this little peace of heaven on earth.
