We've got yet another playlist for you to consider when it's time to go visit some new place this month. Read on and rush off to get these offerings to update your portable music player.

KB - Mowa

South Africa star KB is back with another appealing album. Mowa is a huge hit on local radio stations. It's all about being spirited and following your own rhythm, which is the running theme on the whole of KB's latest album, My Rhythm.

Lenny Kravitz - I'll be waiting

Mr Kravitz is back. He's mostly calm, optimistic and fun and gives you all the good vibes you'd expect from an album titled Love Revolution. I'll be waiting is moody and uplifting at the same time. This is a good album for a solo trip.

Seed - Germinating

If you understand Xhosa and love afro-pop this is the album to trip to. It's got a bit of maskandi flavours thrown in and it's for an upbeat mood on the road.

Juno - The Soundtrack

What a film and such sublime music! Some of the tracks are flimsy but fun to listen to. It's definitely something for a light hearted trip. Probably a road trip with quirky friends who enjoyed the film and don't take things too seriously.

Goldfrapp - Seventh tree

Don't expect high energy dance here. It's a folksy Goldfrapp. Perfect for autumn days and long winding trips that demand (and repeat) your most sanguine yet thoughtful tunes.

Sergio Mendes - Encanto

Sergio on any album can virtually transport you to anywhere in the world. If you want a bit of exotica in your trip, just pop his latest, Encanto, and ride it out. This also doubles up as beach music with the corny, Hawaiian-wannabe factor.

Sheryl Crow - Detours

Miss Crow's gorgeous return to form is also a brilliant musical escort for the eco-friendly traveller. It's a political manifesto in the form of a personal journal that will have you bopping your head in raised consciousness. The single Shine over Babylon rocks.

Jub-Jub - My Shine

If the thrills of travel have left you feeling a bit spirit weary, this is the best album to pop in the player or on your MP3. It's a triumphant win over bad press (surrounding Jub-Jub's mother, the infamous Mama Jackie) and a new take on what can sometimes be described as uninspired gospel.

Wyclef Jean - Carnival Vol. 2, Memories of an immigrant

Wyclef jean is always pleasant to listen to. He's beyond regurgitating the same old hip hop that some artists provide. Carnival Vol. 2 is full of good tunes and thoughtful lyrics that make it another gem for the eco-friendly traveller.

Black Dillinger - Live and learn

It's still warm enough to go to the beach. And of course you can always chase the sun all the way to Durban. Play Black Dillinger's Live and Learn on your way there. It's authentic reggae from a South African artist who grew up listening to kwaito. It's a revelation.
