Must party at: Grand Bay
The nightlife of Mauritius is not a very active one but if you are looking for some sort of night time entertainment, then head to Grand Bay.
With its amount of restaurants, bars and discotheques it is the only place on the island with any semblance of nightlife. It can get busy if not “buzzy” in peak seasons such as December and January.
But Grand Bay is far from a night only place. Packed with the finest shops of Mauritius and situated in the north where the sea is most attractive, it is the ideal landing place for the tourists. It also helps that you can navigate the entire Grand Bay in half a day, either by car or foot. Don't miss the areas abundant shopping opportunities and wide selection of restaurants.
Must see:
Cinema Star: what they have to offer
The Cinema Star is in a modern building located in the centre of Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. There are three theaters in this cinema and its offerings vary from artsy to modern commercial films.
Must do: Black River Gorge NP
This National Park contains several sites which are well worth visiting. There is a new Visitor Centre in the Black River Valley at the north-west end of the National Park.
A tarmac road leads to the Centre from Grande Riviera Noire on the west coast, 25 km south of Port Louis on the A3. The Visitor Centre should be everyone's first stop; here you'll find the latest information about the National Park as well as a map detailing the paths in the Park.

Must party at Grand Bay!
This is not correct, Grand Baie is a buzzy town however the West Coast and the town of Flic en Flac also offers an excellent nightlife with bars, restaurants and night clubs. In fact the Belle Mare area situated on the North East Coast also has a great nightlife so stating that Grand Baie is the area to prty in is incorrect, many towns on the sialnd offer excellent nightlife with a range of bars, restaurants and night clubs!
