As a regular business traveller I get to see hotels etc from all different aspects, this hotel in Witbank was very dissapointing, the decor outside is really unique, however there is a saying that you should 'Never judge a book by it's cover' well.......I was very dissapointed, on my arrival I had to walk around trying to find somebody in order to get my key, once this was done I found my room only to discover that the sliding door to my room did not lock (there was a wrought iron security gate) I had one small towel that had to suffice for hand towel and bath towel. NO bath mat, NO shower other than a cheap contraption in the bath, the linen was very tatty and frayed, overall very dissapointing. The breakfast's were just as bad, eggs and bacon and toast all thrown together on one plate, looked like dormitory food. Tea cups chipped overall a very bad experience. The staff are all very unfriendly, never greet and spend most of their time smoking outside their offices. As for the cleaning staff they are possibly the most tattiest personel I have ever seen in a accomodation establishment!! With 2010 fast approaching I would very strongly advise all travellers to avoid this very badly run establishment at all costs!!!!
