Shamwari Game Reserve is home to seven super luxurious, five-star graded lodges, each with their own special flavour of the African bush magic.
Long Lee Manor
It is widely considered to be the reserve's main lodge, as it is the largest and most established. The salmon coloured manor house was originally built in 1910 and offers guests a distinctive colonial experience.
The lodge accommodates 38 guests in 15 elegant en-suite rooms and 3 luxury suites. Meals are served in the main dining room, under the Pepper Tree, or around the open blazing fire at the Barn. There is also a river boma for outdoor dining experiences.
Unlike the other lodges, Bayethe offers guests the opportunity to camp in style with their 9 luxury and 3 premier tents. All the tents are comfortably camouflaged under the spreading trees and the luxury ones are air-conditioned and heated and have en-suite bathrooms, showers, private plunge pools and viewing decks. The premier tents offer the additional luxuries of a fireplace, satelite TV, plunge pool and hammocks suspended out of the wooden decks.
Meals are served in the double volume lounge and dining area which spills out onto the deck or the adjacent outside boma for traditional fireside dining under the stars
Bushmans River Lodge is a Victorian homestead that offers an intimate atmosphere that is a welcoming reminder of true South African hospitality. Beautifully decorated in an artistic ethnic theme, this lodge is another representation of the true uniqueness of Shamwari.
With four bedrooms, its perfect for small groups of friends, families or couples. Dining is varied between the dining room, the verandah, which is adjacent to the pool, or the stunning boma under thatch overlooking the Bushmans River
Nestled within a valley, Eagles crag offers a supremely private and lush bushveld getaway. There are nine superior rooms dotted along an attractive network of boardwalks, each complete with their own private deck, paddling pool and outside shower. The main lodge offers a large balcony and deck as well as a stylish dining area to enjoy meals.
Indulge in a truly African experience at the Lobengula thatched luxury lodge. It boasts five luxury suites, of which two have their own private whilst the remaining 3 suites are situated adjacent to the large swimming pool.

With unassumingly gorgeous modern design and expansive views of the plains, Sarili Lodge is just about as dreamy as a bushveld experience can get.
